Beginners Art Group (Ages 5–8) 🎨 A Fun and Inspiring Start to Art! Welcome to the Beginners Group—a joyful space where young artists (ages 5–8) take their first creative steps with confidence! In each class, your child will explore, create, and grow, learning essential art skills in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. What They’ll Learn: ✨ How to use art materials safely and effectively ✨ Creating images using simple shapes ✨ Building balanced and harmonious compositions ✨ Exploring colour theory to make their artworks come to life The focus is on fun, creativity, and skill-building, helping your child feel proud and confident in their artistic journey. Plus, they’ll bring home beautiful creations to share with family! 🎨 What’s On in Term 4- 2025? 14/10-16/12 🌈 Theme: CCats and Dogs This term, young artists will explore the world of our most beloved companions – cats and dogs. By using subjects they love, students stay engaged while learning important and sometimes challenging parts of visual art. Over 10 weeks, the program includes: Realistic Drawing & Painting – understanding proportions, shapes, and details. Techniques in Acrylic, Watercolour, MixMedia and Pencil Drawing – step-by-step skill building. Sculpture & Craft Sessions – fun, hands-on projects especially for younger participants. Individual Projects – tailored opportunities for advanced students to develop their own ideas. By the end of Term 4, every student will complete 7–10 finished artworks, showcasing their skills and creativity. The program will conclude with a special Christmas project, adding a festive touch to the collection.
